In Dawn's pursuit as a professional basketball player she was diagnosed with a rare kidney disorder.
Diagnosed with a rare disease that would require Dawn to have a transplant, she played basketball at the highest collegiate level while also becoming the nations leading scorer, She would go on to become a professional basketball player but retired after her transplant and decide to focus back on her profession as an actor.
